NEW TOPICS FOR 2023
“Where Machine Intelligence and Human Creativity Collide – telling stories with AI”
“Decentralized Storytelling – where AI, the blockchain and metaverse intersect”
Building from his work leading creative direction and experience design on “Frankenstein AI: a monster made by many” (one of the first AI projects to premiere at the Sundance Film Festival) Lance has developed an immersive lab that mixes story, design, play, Artificial Intelligence and the blockchain. At its core is a human-centric design meets speculative futures approach that places participants directly in collaboration with an AI. This lab/workshop has versions that range from 90 minutes to multiple days. For more details please contact Lance directly.
Lance is a sought after and highly accomplished international speaker and facilitator. He has presented at the US State Department, the UN, the World Economic Forum, Samsung, Twitter, CAA, Wieden+Kennedy, Ogilvy, McCann Erickson, MIT, USC, Columbia University, Sundance, and Cannes film festivals among others. His talks share valuable insight from the perspective of a working practitioner who’s experimenting at the edge of story, play, design, code and culture.
In addition to speaking, Lance also designs and facilities master classes, workshops and labs. Past sessions have focused on the future of storytelling, emergent technologies, culture shift and collaborative practice. Lance has run sessions for PBS, Refinery29, the National Theatre Communication Group, Gear Up, Esquire, Penguin Books, Samsung as well as the Sundance and Tribeca Film Institutes. Sessions are designed to be a few hours or can run for an entire day and at the core they are always a mix of theory and practice. This is an opportunity to experience methods that Lance uses in his classes at Columbia University.
